Laura Margarita is a Spanish contemporary artist and abstract painter. She was raised between New York, Milan and the Caribbean, currently living in Istanbul. Laura Margarita received classical training at Accademia di Brera in Milan, Italy, with additional studies via the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Her style is less traditional. She describes herself as an abstract expressionist. She never refrains from trying new techniques in her work. Laura Margarita is inspired by nature and diverse cultural regions. She incorporates bold colors and natural textiles such as coffee, salt, sand and gypsum. Deep colors and rich textures are part of her artistic expression. Her color palette is mostly inspired by nature’s elements such as earth, fire, water, forest foliage and she works with both acrylic and oil paints. Laura margarita’s work communicate her unique artistic style and engage each viewer in deeply personal dialogue. Her work has been exhibited around the world ranging from exhibits in New York, Miami, Rome and London. Laura Margarita was previously represented by Colasanti Aste in Rome, Italy.
